We listen, act, and transform
Do you feel stuck in life? Does life seem like all your current choices fail to lead to any sense of fulfillment? Do you feel like you're on a treadmill going through the motions of endless day-to-day toil that inevitably ends in death? Are you unsure of what to do next?
If this is where you feel you are right now, then you’ve come to the right place. In our work together, my goal as your therapist is to help you reduce suffering. Ideally, I would like you to be able to attain fulfillment, peace, and life in all its fullness. We call this true salvation. It is to be who You are, to feel within you the good that has no opposite, the joy of Being that comes from within and depends on nothing outside itself. True salvation is freedom from compulsive thinking, from negativity, and from threats of past and future as they arise in thought in this present moment.
Our work together will be identifying suffering that exists in your life, how thought and experience influence suffering, and how change should occur so life can be experienced in a different way. This involves an increased understanding of how your experience of the past impacts your present. We will also examine your expectations of the future and make realistic and timely plans that breathe vision into your life. But most importantly, we will learn to live in the present moment, for it is here where life unfolds. In the present moment, we can witness the effects of past choices and make new choices that will foster hope. The ability to choose is what we call freedom.
As a California licensed therapist with a Masters degree in Pastoral Care & Counseling, I strive to integrate spiritual teaching with counseling and psychotherapy. I have worked since 2004 as a pastoral counselor and as a mental health clinician in various settings helping adults and adolescents loosen the grip of suffering. If you’re looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging life situation or you’re simply ready to move your life in a new direction, you’re just one click away from starting change.
